Started by Peter Whitbeck in 1991, Whitbeck Associates quickly became a leader in the residential real estate market, known for their advanced technology and stellar client service. In the mid-1990’s Peter was recognized as a respected and knowledgeable commercial real estate broker, as evidenced by his position on the Board of Directors of PARC after the Plattsburgh Air Force Base closed. Peter lent his expertise to help develop and market the available PARC properties to local businesses and beyond and he was instrumental in drawing many companies to the North Country.
Highly respected in the community, Peter went on to mentor several commercial brokers in the area who got their start at Whitbeck Associates.
In 2005, Whitbeck Associates franchised with Coldwell Banker and the family business grew to include sons PJ and Adam, with both of them taking the helm of the business in 2019.
